Galactio-Papago RDS-TMC Solution
The Traffic Information Platform (TRIP) is developed by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in partnership with Quantum Inventions Pte Ltd (QI) which processes raw traffic data from LTA and converts them into intelligent LIVE traffic information. This is transmitted instantly over the air by RDS-TMC technology to drivers with a GPS fitted with RDS-TMC receiver.
This is currently the first and only available navigation solution in the market that allows motorists to pin point their location on a map, plan driving routes, and in some systems, also show traffic information in graphic format without contract and without recurring fees as it is using free-to-air radio signals transmission from our local broadcasting stations.
Galactio PAPAGO! X3 TMC Real Time Navigation Software may now be installed onto most Holux GPS devices starting from Holux 61. Supporting device like the RDS-TMC receiver (available for $99) is necessary for transmission.
